《So Lucky》

So Lucky is a series that emerged spontaneously in 2019, continuing the exploration of my research themes. The main subject of the work, the "fortune cookie," is widely perceived by many in the West as a genuinely Chinese product. In reality, however, items like "General Tso's chicken" and "fortune cookies" do not exist in China. This is a cultural misinterpretation, yet it has formed a "collective memory" within Western society. Consequently, a new, misinterpreted history has been created. Each day, I draw a fortune cookie to see what kind of inspiration it offers me.
